{"id":5903,"date":"2026-02-26T12:19:27","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T03:19:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambseoul.esteri.it\/?p=5903"},"modified":"2026-04-01T10:24:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T01:24:12","slug":"call-for-applications-ambassador-for-a-day-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambseoul.esteri.it\/it\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2026\/02\/call-for-applications-ambassador-for-a-day-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"EXTENSION OF THE APPLICATION SUBMISSION DEADLINE &#8211; CALL FOR APPLICATIONS \u201cAmbassador for a Day\u201d 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\"><strong>EXTENSION OF THE APPLICATION SUBMISSION DEADLINE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">Due to numerous requests received and to allow broader participation, the deadline for submitting applications has been officially extended to 10 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Following the success of the previous editions, we are pleased to announce the Call for Applications for the 2026 edition of\u00a0<em>Ambassador for a Day.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>CALL FOR APPLICATIONS<br \/>\n\u201cAmbassador for a Day 5th edition\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the UN 2030 Agenda, particularly Goal 5 on Gender Equality and Goal 9 on Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, the Embassy of Italy in Seoul launches the 5th edition of \u201cAmbassador for a Day\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative offers one outstanding <strong>female<\/strong> student, selected through a rigorous process, the unique chance to shadow the Italian Ambassador for a full day, experiencing high-level diplomacy first hand.<\/p>\n<p>The selected candidate will join the Italian Ambassador in Seoul for institutional engagements tied to the Embassy\u2019s Space Day celebration, including: discussions on Italy-Korea space cooperation; meetings with aerospace leaders from Italy and Korea; consultations with STEM experts; and participation in the Space Day event at the Residence of Italy as one of the guests of honor. The project will gain visibility through Korean and Italian media, as well as the Embassy\u2019s social media channels.<br \/>\nSelection criteria:<\/p>\n<p>The student\u2019s eligibility will be assessed based on her academic background, which needs to be consistent with the role she will play for a day, and on a short essay. Finally, the student should prove knowledge of the English language, as well as motivation and interest in the Italian culture.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Academic background: Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s students in Political Science, International Relations, Aerospace Engineering, Astronomy, STEM fields, Economics, or Public Administration.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Essay: \u201cWomen Among the Stars: Claiming Your Place in Space Exploration and Innovation. Imagine yourselves as the next pioneers: in your essay, share how women have paved the way, blending their historical triumphs with your vision for the future.
