목적
이탈리아 외교협력부는 “Science, She Says!” 상을 제정하여 다음 지역 중 한 곳에서 연구를 수행하면서 과학기술 발전에 현저하게 기여한 뛰어난 젊은 여성 과학자에게 수여하고자 합니다:
아프리카 및 중동
아시아 및 태평양 지역
유럽
중남미 및 카리브해 지역
북미
5개 지역별로 한 명의 후보자가 선정되며, 선정 지역 요건은 지난 4년간의 근무지입니다. 이탈리아 연구자는 이 상을 받을 수 없습니다.
제2회 시상식은 2024년에 개최될 이탈리아 과학담당관 회의에서 열릴 예정이며, 날짜와 장소는 추후 발표될 예정입니다. 과학과 기술의 모든 분야가 대상입니다. 수상자에게는 이탈리아 외교협력부에서 수여하는 메달과 상장이 수여됩니다.
지원 자격
“Science, She Says!” 상은 아시아 태평양 지역에서의 활동을 통해 과학기술 전 분야에서 양국 간 과학 협력 발전에 기여한 뛰어난 여성 과학자에게 수여하는 상입니다:
- 후보자는 2019년 1월 1일 이후로 후보 지역 국가에 거주 중이어야 합니다.
- 후보자는 후보자가 근무하는 국가의 과학 아카데미, 대학, 연구소 또는 정부의 S&T 부서에서 주요 직책을 맡고 있는 저명한 과학자의 추천서를 제출해야 합니다. 셀프 추천이나 직계 가족의 추천은 무효입니다. 팀은 후보로 추천할 수 없습니다. 자격을 갖춘 추천인은 다음과 같습니다:
- 대학 또는 과학 기관의 장
- 과학 아카데미 회원
- 연구 위원장
- 정교수
- 후보자는 우수한 학술 및/또는 과학 경력을 보유하고 연구 업적을 인정받은 저명한 과학자이어야 합니다. 영향력 있는 학술지에 공동 논문을 게재했거나 국제 특허를 받은 기술을 개발했어야 하며, 아시아 및 태평양 지역에서 개최된 다자간 기구에서의 연구 활동도 고려 대상입니다.
- 연령 제한: 본 공고 게시일 기준 만 40세 이하
Evaluation Criteria and Mode of Selection
Nominees will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
- The scientific impact of the nominee’s work and research
- Relevance of the nominee’s work to Italy’s bilateral S&T cooperation with Asia and the Pacific
- Potential for significant, long-term collaboration
- Promotion of young researchers’ mobility (incoming/outgoing) to foster the creation of bilateral research teams
- Nominee’s contribution to creative/innovative collaboration models
- Nominee’s capacity to create/improve contacts with the Italian research community.
The Award Committee, chaired by the Head of Office IX of the Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation of MAECI, will be composed by the Presidents and/or Representatives of the major Italian Research and Academic Institutions.
The “Science, She Says!” Award will be presented next year during a Ceremony to be held during the Conference of Italian Scientific Attachés at the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
How to Apply
The Call for Nominations will be published on the websites of the Embassy of Italy to the Republic of Korea.
Any scientist and institution willing to present a nomination may may submit this form duly completed, saved as a single pdf file (named with the format NOMINEE’S SURNAME.pdf) within January 15, 2024, to the following email address: seoul.scienza@esteri.it, having “Science she says Award” as subject.
